Wyoming, Michigan has established an expanding network of public and charter elementary schools focused on supporting students with a quality education. Mostly operated by Wyoming Public Schools (WPS), the district has recently spent over $100 million to update classrooms, refresh furniture, and upgraded playgrounds—demonstrating its emphasis on students' experience. Students also have low student-to-teacher ratios (14:1–16:1)— resulting in students receiving more individual attention than the typical experience in Michigan. As a city, Wyoming schools embrace diversity, and nearly half of students identify as Hispanic/Latino.
