The Blackwell Institute recently hosted its annual community appreciation day to spotlight student leadership and collaboration with the local community. Families, staff, neighborhood groups and others came together for a day dedicated to student success and the school’s continued commitment to community-based education. The celebration was a testament to the organized and supportive campus experience the Blackwell Institute is known for in the Detroit community. The school also continues to focus on academic enrichment and character development as students prepare to move on to local high school pathways.
