Being Updated
Place-based conservation education is taught at the Goodwillie Environmental School, where students learn about native plants and participate in hands-on habitat restoration projects. Scientists get their hands dirty, prepping the soil, removing invasive species and designing native gardens to support local biodiversity. These experiential learning experiences assist students to become student ecologists and develop a strong connection to their local environment and their skills of scientific inquiry.
