Heather Ridge School is currently working on a number of student-led projects and career-readiness activities that will help students grow socially and emotionally during the 2026 school year. A recent grant helped the school teach students how to be kind to each other in the classroom. This is part of their ongoing efforts to give students more power through partnerships with the community. For the 2026–2027 school year, staff have already updated the course guides to include new ways of teaching that make the process of planning for the transition to high school easier.
