Parents and students have raised concerns about the recently proposed redistricting plan in Anne Arundel County Public Schools, which could change school assignments for several Annapolis-area schools, including Eastport Elementary.
Q1. What programs does Eastport Elementary have for smart kids?
Ans. Eastport Elementary offers different kinds of instruction and extra activities in the classroom, as well as access to Gifted and Talented programs at the district level.
Q2: Does the school provide care before or after school?
Ans: Yes, Eastport Elementary works with groups in the area to offer programs for students before and after school.
Q3: What kinds of arts programs does the school have?
The school has programs in music, visual arts, and sometimes theater for all grades.
Q4: What does Eastport Elementary do to help kids with special needs?
Ans.The school has a special education team that works only with special needs students and makes Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for each student.
Q5. Are there ways for parents to get involved?
Ans. Yes, parents can join the PTA, help out in the classroom, and go to school events and workshops.
