The Sioux City School Board agreed to a lease that would let Verizon build a hidden cell phone tower at Perry Creek Elementary. This would bring in more money for the district.
Perry Creek Elementary has once again been recognized for its dedication to the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Program.
The school district is taking part in a free summer meal program that gives kids in the area free lunches.

Ans. The school has the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme, STEM activities, and clubs for kids who want to learn more.
Q2. What does the school do to help students who speak English as a second language?
Ans. Perry Creek has ESL programs and bilingual resources that are specifically for people who don't speak English as their first language.
Q3. Are there activities outside of school?
Ans. Yes, students can join after-school programs that focus on STEM, art, music, and chess.
Q4. What does Perry Creek Elementary do to help kids learn about their feelings and how to get along with others?
Ans.The school has character education programs, peer mentoring, and mindfulness activities for all of its students.
Q5. What chances do students and their families have to get involved in the community?
Ans. Families can get involved by volunteering, going to events with teachers and parents, and working together with the school and the community.
