The new $265 million improvement plan for Des Moines Public Schools includes Stowe Elementary. The school may close by 2033 and the building may be used for something else. The plan is to update the buildings and change the number of students enrolled, which has gotten mixed reactions from families as the district looks into making long-term changes.
