Being Updated
The Council Bluffs Community School District (CBCSD) has approved a big plan to upgrade the HVAC systems at several campuses, including replacing the rooftop ventilation units at Rue Elementary. The goal is to make the air quality and comfort better for students and staff by the middle of 2026.
The district is starting a new full-time K–12 online school for the 2025–26 school year in partnership with Edmentum. This will give families a flexible way to learn from home. This growth affects all of the district's schools, even Rue Elementary.
Rue Elementary students are part of the "Attend Today, Achieve More Tomorrow" campaign, which started this school year as part of a district-wide effort to get more kids to come to school. The campaign offers rewards and support from the community for regular attendance.
