Being Updated
The district-wide campaign "Attend Today, Achieve More Tomorrow" is meant to get more students to come to school by giving them rewards, sending them messages, and giving them support to keep them coming.
The district has given the go-ahead for a new full-time K–12 online school to open in 2025–26 in partnership with Edmentum. This will give Edison families who prefer online learning more options.
Edison Elementary is getting a big infrastructure upgrade. The school is getting a new full-service kitchen, updated classrooms, and renovated playground and outdoor areas. The goal is to make the school better and make it easier for students to learn.
Q1. What programs at Edison Elementary help students with different needs?
Ans. Edison has ESL services, special education, Title I help, and Talented & Gifted (TAG) programs to help all students.
Q2. What does Edison Elementary do to help kids grow socially and emotionally?
Ans. Edison focuses on teamwork, empathy, and self-awareness through structured programs, counseling support, and activities in the classroom.
Q3. What sets Edison Elementary apart from other schools in terms of academics?
Ans. About 72% of students do well in math and 70% do well in reading. This is because the classes are small and each student gets their own instruction.
Q4. Do Edison students have activities outside of school?
Ans. Yes, students can join clubs, STEM programs, arts programs, and community service projects that help them learn more outside of school.
Q5. What can parents do to help out at Edison Elementary?
Ans. To help their child's education, families can join the PTO, help out in classrooms, go to school events, and go to parent-teacher conferences.
