Ames, Iowa's Meeker Elementary School is a public school for kids in grades K–5. This is one of the best elementary schools in the Ames Community School District because the academics are good, the staff is helpful, and the atmosphere is friendly. There are about 430 to 450 students at the school, and there is one teacher for every 14 students. This means that each student gets more one-on-one time with their teacher. Meeker has a lot of different kinds of students and offers programs like Title I services, special education, ESL support, and social-emotional learning. Students do well in school and get good grades in both math and reading. This shows that the school cares about developing the whole child, building skills, and solving problems. Families like Meeker Elementary because it is friendly, involved in the community, and wants every child to do well.
