The Ames Community School District just said that they will be offering a new online learning option through Edmentum. This will give students and families who want a more flexible schedule a different way to learn while still being part of the district starting in the 2025–26 school year.

The district also approved a list of improvements to its buildings, such as new or improved playgrounds for some elementary schools. Fellows Elementary is one of the schools that will get better playgrounds this summer. The work will include building and surfacing upgrades.

A recent donation drive raised money for classroom supplies, field trip buses, and teacher mini-grants. This was possible because families and parent-teacher groups from all over Ames elementary schools, including Fellows, worked together.
