West Hawaii Explorations Academy recently announced a number of campus-wide changes for the 2025–2026 school year. These include better safety measures and a stronger use of its signature project-based learning model. The academy is giving its students more chances to learn about the world. For example, in May 2026, they will go on an educational trip to France, Switzerland, and Italy. Also, the school's robotics team has been working hard to improve the STEAM Lab, and new student-led projects in marine science and engineering are still focused on solving difficult problems in the real world.
