Waialae Elementary School opened a new pre-K classroom to expand its PCS capacity. The addition doubled available seats from 20 to 40 for young learners. The expansion helps meet growing demand for early childhood education in the community.
Q1. How does Waialae Elementary help kids become more independent when they have to make choices?
Ans. Teachers help students choose tasks, manage their time, and finish activities in a responsible way that meets expectations.
Q2. How does the school help kids learn to think about their mistakes as chances to learn?
Ans. Students talk about what went wrong in an activity and how doing it again can help them understand better.
Q3. What routines help students when they use digital presentation tools that are shared?
Ans. Students log in, save their work correctly, and log out correctly so that other people can use the devices.
Q4. How does Waialae help students learn how to ask their peers questions in a polite way?
Ans. Lessons show students how to ask questions in a polite way and pay close attention to what their classmates say.
Q5. What does the school do to help students get ready for times when they have to work on their own?
Ans. Teachers go over what students need to do and what materials they need so they can work with confidence and focus.
