Linapuni Elementary School is adding an additional public pre-K classroom as part of the statewide Ready Keiki expansion. The initiative aims to meet high demand for early learning and move Hawai?i toward universal access to pre-K. The state plans to open 50 new classrooms over the next two years.
Q1. How does Linapuni help students see patterns in speech?
Ans. To help students become more aware of language, they listen for phrases or rhythms that repeat in poems and songs.
Q2. How does the school help students learn about the roles of community helpers?
Ans. Lessons teach about workers like nurses, firefighters, and custodians and how they help the community.
Q3. What routines help students move from learning inside to learning outside?
Ans. Before moving to a new place, students follow line-up cues, safety reminders, and material checks.
Q4. How does Linapuni help students learn to be patient when they are doing things with other people?
Ans. Teachers tell students to wait their turn and talk to themselves in a positive way when they are sharing things or talking.
Q5: How does the school help students make lists of things to do every day?
