Being Updated
Kapalama Elementary School held a community e-waste recycling drive in May 2025. The fundraiser invited families to drop off old electronics for responsible recycling. Proceeds supported school programs and activities.
Q1. How does Kapalama help students learn about simple cause-and-effect relationships in science?
Ans. Students see what happens when something changes, like watering plants more or less, and talk about it.
Q2. How does the school use stories to help kids learn about local history at an early age?
Ans. Teachers tell stories that are appropriate for the kids' ages and are related to the community to help them learn about history.
Q3. What do students do to ensure that they move quickly during class rotations?
Ans. Students follow the arrows and timing cues so that transitions are calm and orderly.
Q4. How does Kapalama help students learn how to give and receive feedback from their peers?
Ans. When students work with a partner, they learn to provide one positive comment and one advantageous suggestion.
Q5. How does the school assist students in maintaining shared classroom displays?
Ans. People are expected to touch displays gently and help keep bulletin boards neat and in excellent shape.
