About Nunn Elementary School

Located in the Valdosta City Schools district, Nunn Elementary School fosters literacy, numeracy, and a positive learning environment. They have developed a Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program that encourages respect and cooperation, as well as a pathway for success for all students. Students are honored on an honor roll, engage with original AVID program involvement, and have many options with academic clubs and activities, such as Junior Beta Club, student government, and Girls on the Run. Students have also seen learning opportunities through community partnerships and grants. Although state assessment scores are available through the state department in math and reading, it is the combination of academic success, positive programs, and community that makes Nunn Elementary one of the best elementary schools in Georgia.
