Being Updated
Thomas County Central High School (TCCHS) has received a $90,000 FY26 CTAE Top State for Talent Equipment Grant to enhance its automotive technology pathway. The funding is part of Gov. Brian Kemp’s “Top State for Talent” initiative and will be used to buy industry-standard equipment, such as a tire changer, tire balancer and advanced diagnostic systems. The goal of this investment is to refresh the technology used in vocational education to help students be better prepared to enter the workforce or continue technical education right after graduation. The district also is pursuing a “Ed-Flex” waiver for the 2025-2026 school year to allow for more student counseling services through the Georgia Pines APEX program.
