Union Grove High School senior Owen Schrock and architecture teacher Amanda McClure were honored with the Henry County Chamber of Commerce 2026 Student/Teacher Achievement Recognition Award in late February 2026. At McDonough, Schrock was named the top countywide school for academic performance and SAT scores. The award enabled Schrock to go on to regional-level STAR Award contests representing Henry County. The STAR Award program recognizes students and educators for academic excellence and instructional impact in participating school districts.
