Being Updated
The front office at Taylor Elementary School is actively keeping the local neighborhood connected by pushing out new digital resource guides for area families. To support student learning at home, the school is rolling out specialized training tools for ParentSquare and ParentVUE so moms and dads can easily track student goals. Meanwhile, the school library team is promoting regional summer reading challenges to keep kids motivated to log their book pages.
Q1. Can my child wear sandals or flip-flops to school? Ans. It is best to send them in sneakers every day. Flip-flops and sandals aren't safe for running around at recess or playing games during gym class.
Q2. How do I set up a time to talk to my child's teacher about their grades? Ans. Send a brief message to the teacher on ParentSquare or email them. They will write back to set up a morning or afternoon meeting when they aren't busy teaching class.
Q3. What happens if my child loses a school library book? Ans. You will just need to pay for the cost of the book through your online parent account so the media center can buy a new copy to put back on the shelf.
Q4. Can fourth and fifth graders join any clubs? Ans. Yes, older kids can join groups like the school chorus, safety patrol, or running club. Look for sign-up flyers to come home in your child's folder during the first few weeks of school.
Q5. When do report cards come out? Ans. Official report cards are posted online twice a year—once in December before winter break and again in May. You can also view live grades on your ParentVUE app anytime during the year.
Note: Schedules may change during school holidays. Please contact School for exact Schedule.
