Adding to the campus achievements, the dedicated Corley Elementary School Robotics Team safely advanced straight to the Lego League UGA State Finals. Neighborhood households are also dropping by the school's central Family Engagement Center to explore early reading resources and check out the popular interactive Play 2 Learn preschool setup.

FAQ

Q1. Can my child hand out paper invitations at school for a private birthday party?

Ans. Your child can only pass them out in class if every single student in the room receives one. This prevents kids from feeling left out on the playground or during lesson time.

Q2. What should I do if my child accidentally leaves their jacket or lunchbox at Corley Elementary School?

Ans. You can walk into the school lobby and look at the large "Lost and Found" hanging racks near the cafeteria entrance. It is a beneficial idea to write your child's name on their gear with a Sharpie so staff can return it quickly.

Q3. Does the school issue out any special awards to students at the end of the year?

Ans. Yes, teachers host classroom award ceremonies in May to celebrate things like perfect attendance, outstanding citizenship, reading achievements, and most-improved academic effort.

Q4. If my child is struggling to make friends or feeling uncomfortable, is there a counselor I can talk to?

Ans. Corley Elementary School has full-time school counselors on staff. You can call the main office or email them directly to set up a private chat or have them look in on your child during the week.

Q5. What happens if I forget to turn in a field trip form on time?

Ans. Your child will have to stay behind and go to a different classroom for the day. The school pays for the buses and tickets right away based on the headcount, so the office can't take any money or slips after the due date.
