Lanier College and Career Academy (LCCA) recently announced its name change from Lanier Charter Career Academy and the growing partnerships with local schools and Lanier Technical College. The academy continues to fulfill its mission to offer choice specialized programs that prepare students for the world of work in areas such as culinary arts, healthcare and welding. In a recent campus activity, a safety sweep on May 2, 2025, led to the arrest of a student for possession of a firearm. The school also stresses workforce development through its student-based businesses, such as The Bistro and Corner Cafe.
