DeKalb Regional Youth Detention Center expanded virtual GED access for youth in court and detention related education programs. The initiative will offer laptops, mobile hotspots, and internet access to assist participating students in completing online GED courses and academic requirements. The program organizers put in place the resources to improve access to education for youth who are navigating detention and court systems. GED programs powered by technology continue to broaden remote learning opportunities for students served by juvenile justice education services.
