Risley Middle School media specialist Amy Bradley organized a successful first-time read-a-thon and lock-in fundraiser. The program raised $2,100 for new books for the school library. The program was an alternative to typical commercial fundraising drives and promoted student engagement with reading. The fundraiser helped with literacy enrichment and building up school community library resources.
