The Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) celebrated the opening of a new 13-classroom education and vocational building and 56-bed housing unit at the Augusta Youth Development Campus with a ribbon-cutting ceremony recently. This project replaced outdated infrastructure with upgraded facilities built to serve youth education, safety and rehabilitation. The campus also is making preparations for the start of summer classes on June 2, 2026.
