About Lamar Elementary School

Lamar-Milledge Elementary is historically one of the Elementary Schools in Georgia, currently it serves students in grades Pre-K to 5. While its roots extend back to the 1930s, today it faces obstacles with academic proficiency of learners. the data from 2022 indicates that only 12% of students were proficient in math and 12% were proficient in reading, Even with the aforementioned challenges, Lamar-Milledge Elementary’s classrooms are small with a student-teacher ratio of 11:1 allowing the child to receive more individualized attention. Each staff member works to close the performance gap through explicit instruction and targeted learning supports.
