Metro Regional Youth Detention Center partners with Emory University Candler School of Theology through on-site pastoral support programs. Student chaplain interns are available inside the facility to provide spiritual guidance, individual pastoral care and to follow established distance and safety protocols. The program is intended for youth who are under stress and other challenges associated with detention environments. There are efforts to provide counseling and support services to students in detention through partnerships between schools and juvenile detention facilities.
