In February 2026, all 460 students at Oak Ridge Elementary received two free books each through the “Let’s Read” book fair. The initiative is part of a partnership with local organizations to boost literacy in Title I schools. Impact: Helps students build home libraries, Encourages a love for reading at an early age and Removes financial barriers to access books. Oak Ridge is part of a broader district-wide reading initiative, where similar book fairs are being held across schools in 2026. Students showed high enthusiasm—many were excited to choose books based on their own interests. This reflects: Strong community partnerships and Focus on student engagement through choice-based learning
