In a widely shared “Something Good” news feature, second-grade students watched the Artemis II mission reach record distance in space. The activity connected classroom learning with a real-world scientific milestone, as the mission surpassed the distance record set during Apollo-era missions. This highlights: Strong STEM engagement and experiential learning and Teachers integrating current global events into education. The school runs its own student broadcast channel (WKSN) where students create and present daily news segments. This initiative builds: Communication and presentation skills, Confidence and media literacy and Leadership through student participation.
