Sunrise's elementary schools serve a diverse suburban city of about 95,000 people in Broward County. The city is known for its multicultural community, parks, and closeness to Fort Lauderdale. Broward County Public Schools is one of the largest school districts in the U.S. and runs many elementary schools in the area.
Elementary schools focus on core subjects, early literacy and math skills, STEM programs, and arts education. They also help a very diverse and multilingual student body with bilingual and enrichment services. The Florida Department of Education has given several campuses awards, and they have also won National Blue Ribbon awards from time to time. Sunrise is a wonderful place for families to send their kids to elementary school.
