In 2026, McDonald Elementary organized “Motivating Mondays” and “Wellness Wednesdays” for Mental Health Awareness Month. The students, along with the teachers, participated in Positive Affirmation Day in school using classroom-based activities and positive affirmations from across the school. This was a yearlong initiative that emphasized kindness and participation at school.
