We are so excited to announce the name of our new playground! Following a school-wide and Robinson community vote we narrowed a large list of names down to four. Since our students will be using the playground on a daily basis, we gave them the final vote! 476.....

Being Updated
CIJS held its first Town Hall meeting, where families could speak directly to their school's administration about various campus programs and activities. There was a basketball clinic held at the school, and there is an Earth Day event planned featuring a plant swap and petting zoo. Finally, enrollment for the following school year is currently open following the annual lottery process.
Q1. How does enrollment work at CIJS?
Ans. Creative Inspiration Journey School accepts students through a lottery-based process, open to any Florida resident. Applications close each January, and a lottery drawing is held for the following school year. If seats remain after the lottery, enrollment moves to a first-come, first-served basis. Contact the admissions office to get started.
Q2. Does CIJS require parents to volunteer?
Ans. Yes. Creative Inspiration Journey School requires every family to complete a minimum of 15 volunteer hours each school year, or 20 hours for families with more than one enrolled student. In the Reggio Emilia philosophy, parents’ involvement is a key element in the functioning of the school community, and volunteering is part of that.
Q3. What is the Reggio Emilia approach at CIJS?
Ans. Creative Inspiration Journey School uses a curriculum model where students are treated as capable researchers who drive their own learning. Teachers facilitate, not lecture, and projects originate from students’ real interests. It's one of the most recognized early childhood educational philosophies in the world, and CIJS applies it from preschool through eighth grade.
Q4. Does CIJS have a GATE program?
Ans. All grade levels at Creative Inspiration Journey School are taught using Gifted methods. The school's project-based, inquiry-driven model is designed to challenge and engage students the way gifted programs traditionally do, rather than limiting enriched instruction to a separate track.
Q5. How does after-school care work at CIJS?
Ans. Extended care hours are available through enrollment outside of school hours between 6:30 AM and 6:00 PM. Families interested in extended care should contact the admissions office at admissions@cijsreggioscholars.org or (407) 979-4161 to learn about availability and current tuition information.
Note: Schedules may change during school holidays. Please contact School for exact Schedule.
