Q1: What is the mission of Panther Run Elementary school?
A: Panther Run's mission is to support students in becoming lifelong learners in school, with people, and with their emotions. Panther Run also serves families and the community and teaches students to be responsible citizens.
Q2: What is done to help the students to have extra support?
A: The school has IEPs (Individualized Education Programs), accommodates instruction, has trained staff, and allows students to learn together in groups. This is done based on the needs of the students.
Q3: What is done to include the community?
A: The school hosts family nights, works with local organizations, and participates in community service projects to build relationships and get parents more involved.
Q4: What can students participate in after school?
A: Students can engage in art, music, science, and sport clubs - along with leadership programs. This allows them to engage in learning outside of the regular classroom.
Q5: How is technology involved in the classroom?
A: Panther Run sets up smartboards, uses online programs, and has tablets for teaching with technology and for students to learn how to use the technology.
