Village Park Elementary continues growing alongside the Lake Nona corridor, with enrollment reflecting the ongoing residential development in one of Orlando's fastest-expanding communities. The school is participating in OCPS's "Let's Read!" reading challenge and the district's Spring Stellar Awards cycle, which recognizes outstanding teachers and support staff from across more than 200 OCPS campuses. Village Park Elementary is also part of OCPS's 5th Annual School Spirit Run, a community-facing event that brings students and families together each February.

FAQ

Q1. Does Village Park Elementary have a GATE program?

Ans. Village Park Elementary does offer a Gifted and Talented Education program through Orange County Public Schools. The school's location in the Lake Nona corridor means it draws from a community that is rapidly growing, and the GATE program is an active part of the academic offerings. Families interested in referrals should speak with the classroom teacher.

Q2. What makes Village Park Elementary's location unique?

Ans. Village Park Elementary is situated within the Lake Nona Medical City area, one of the most rapidly developing corridors in all of central Florida. The school draws from newer residential communities built around the Lake Nona gateway and benefits from one of the more engaged parent communities in OCPS due to the active civic culture in the surrounding neighborhood.

Q3. How does Village Park Elementary communicate with families?

Ans. Village Park Elementary uses ParentSquare as its main family communication platform. Families can also access grades and attendance through the Skyward Family Access portal. The school office can be reached at (407) 317-3200 during regular school hours for direct questions.

Q4. What after-school options does Village Park Elementary provide?

Ans. Village Park Elementary participates in OCPS after-school and extended learning programs. Given that this is a newer, growing campus, families are encouraged to contact the front office at the start of each school year to check on program availability and waitlist status for the current semester.

Q5. What is the feeder pattern for Village Park Elementary students?

Ans. Students completing fifth grade at Village Park Elementary typically continue to Innovation Middle School, then on to Lake Nona High School. All three are part of Orange County Public Schools, keeping families within the same district community as students progress through their K-12 pathway.
