Being Updated
Union Park Elementary is participating in OCPS's current "Let's Read!" district-wide reading challenge, which runs through the spring semester and aims to get students reading for enjoyment outside of standard classroom assignments. The school is also active in OCPS's ESE Parent Survey for the current school year, giving families of students with exceptionalities a direct feedback channel on how services are delivered. All Union Park Elementary students receive free meals through OCPS's district-wide program, which covers every enrolled traditional public school student for the full school year.
Q1. Does Union Park Elementary offer a GATE program?
Ans. Union Park Elementary offers a Gifted and Talented Education program through Orange County Public Schools. The school follows OCPS's standard GT referral process, which is typically initiated by the classroom teacher. Families who believe their child may qualify should speak with the teacher early in the school year to avoid missing the evaluation window.
Q2. What after-school programs does Union Park Elementary offer?
Ans. Union Park Elementary participates in OCPS after-school and extended learning programs. Families can contact the school at (407) 249-6390 to ask about current program availability and waitlist status. OCPS also offers additional extended learning options through the district that Union Park Elementary students can access based on eligibility.
Q3. How does Union Park Elementary communicate with families?
Ans. Union Park Elementary uses ParentSquare for school-wide announcements and teacher-to-family communication. Families can also access grades and attendance records through the Skyward Family Access portal. The front office at (407) 249-6390 is open during school hours for direct contact with the administrative team.
Q4. What ELD support does Union Park Elementary provide?

Q5. What is the feeder pattern for Union Park Elementary students?
Ans. Students finishing fifth grade at Union Park Elementary typically continue to Union Park Middle School, then on to Colonial High School or another OCPS secondary campus.
