Being Updated
Shingle Creek Elementary kicked off the current school year under a new school theme, "You are a VITAL piece of our puzzle of success!" Principal Dr. Farah Henderson launched a school uniform initiative, with students wearing polo-style shirts in white, black, or blue with khaki or black bottoms to build campus pride. Earlier in the school year, the school hosted a Fall Festival, bringing students and families together for games, food, and school community events. Shingle Creek Elementary also presented a Black History Month celebration titled "Still I Rise," which featured student performances and visual art exhibits highlighting resilience and community.
Q1. Does Shingle Creek Elementary offer a GATE program?

Q2. What are Shingle Creek Elementary's uniform requirements?
Ans. For the current school year, Shingle Creek Elementary encourages students to wear polo-style shirts in white, black, or any shade of blue, paired with khaki or black bottoms or dresses. The uniform policy is designed to build school pride and a productive learning environment across the Panda Nation campus community.
Q3. How can families get involved at Shingle Creek Elementary?
Ans. Yes, the families are very involved at Shingle Creek Elementary. There are parent organization meetings, school events, and classroom volunteer opportunities.
Q4. What does Shingle Creek Elementary's ELD program offer students?

Q5. What school do Shingle Creek Elementary students attend after fifth grade?
Ans. Students graduating from fifth grade at Shingle Creek Elementary usually go on to Westridge Middle School and then Dr. Phillips High School or another OCPS secondary campus.
