Being Updated
Pineloch Elementary is one of OCPS's largest PK-5 campuses at 750 students, and the school continues operating with a 13:1 student-teacher ratio — the best in this group of 18 schools and one of the more favorable ratios in the district. The campus participates in OCPS's Let's Read challenge running through April 2026. Pineloch also supports ASD programs and ESE facilitation services alongside its general education program, making it one of the more comprehensively resourced elementary campuses in the southwest Orlando area.
Q1. Why does Pineloch Elementary have such a low student-teacher ratio?
Ans. Pineloch Elementary has one of the lowest student-teacher ratios in this group, which is the best among all 18 schools in this group. With 56 equivalent full-time teachers serving 750 students, the campus is well-staffed by OCPS standards. That ratio means more individual attention for students across all grade levels.
Q2. Does Pineloch Elementary have a school counselor?
Ans. Pineloch Elementary has a full-time school counselor on staff. The counselor supports students with academic concerns, social-emotional needs, and referrals to additional resources. The front office can connect families with the counselor directly.
Q3. How does Pineloch Elementary communicate with families?
Ans. Pineloch Elementary uses OCPS's ParentSquare platform for school-wide communications. Teachers also use the platform for classroom-level messages. Downloading ParentSquare before the school year starts is the best way to stay current from day one.
Q4. What enrichment programs does Pineloch Elementary offer?
Ans. Pineloch Elementary participates in OCPS-wide enrichment programs, including Gifted and Talented services for qualifying students. The school also offers ESE support facilitation for students with individualized education plans. Families can call (407) 849-3900 to ask about current enrichment offerings.
Q5. What is the feeder pattern for Pineloch Elementary students?
Ans. Pineloch Elementary students continue to a middle school within the OCPS system based on their home address. The campus is in the southwest Orlando area, with families typically feeding into schools in the Evans or Southwest cluster. Confirm your specific assignment at ocps.net.
