Oakshire Elementary opened the current school year under its "Leveling Up Learning" theme, building on the school's "A" rating from the Florida Department of Education and the school motto of doing what is best for children while keeping the campus a joyous place for all. The school invited prospective families to sign up for campus tours through its website at oakshirees.ocps.net. Oakshire participated in OCPS's Black History Month showcase and the Let's Read reading challenge. With math proficiency of 64% and reading proficiency of 54%, the school remains one of the stronger-performing campuses in the south Orlando corridor.
