Lake Gem Elementary participated in the OCPS district-wide Let's Read reading challenge running through April, encouraging students to build a love of reading alongside the district's goal of 50 million minutes read. The school's Facebook page has been active with celebration of Social Work Month, recognizing the school's social worker and support staff for their contributions to the campus community.
