John Young Elementary's "A" state rating dominated campus news as the school year opened, with Principal Dr. A. Betsy Santana publicly celebrating the achievement and crediting teamwork between students, staff, and families. The school participated in OCPS's district-wide Let's Read reading challenge and the Black History Month "Still I Rise" showcase. John Young Eagle families receive regular updates through ParentSquare, and the school maintains its calendar of family engagement events including PTA, SAC, and MPLC meetings throughout the year. Enrollment for the coming school year opened through OCPS in early spring.
