Being Updated
Engelwood Elementary opened the current school year with Principal Danielle M. Spooney setting a high-expectation tone for every Cardinal on campus. The school participated in OCPS's Black History Month "Still I Rise" celebration and ran the OCPS district-wide Let's Read reading challenge through the spring semester. Engelwood's early release Wednesday schedule continued this year, with families using ParentSquare and the school's official website to stay updated. The school continues to serve the La Costa Drive community with a focus on benchmark-based instruction and a clear commitment to each scholar's character development alongside academics.
Q1. What is Engelwood Elementary's mascot, and what does it represent?
Ans. Engelwood Elementary's mascot is the Cardinal. Principal Danielle M. The mascot runs through school communications, events, and how staff set goals with students.
Q2. Does Engelwood Elementary have a GATE program?
