In January 2026, Sports Leadership and Management Charter School Middle School opened a new synthetic ice rink. The NHL Winter Classic legacy project in 2026 built the rink. It was the first time that students could officially play hockey at school. The new building gave the campus's sports program a new sport and a place to train.
