In November 2025, Larkdale Elementary School hosted the inauguration ceremony for its brand new culinary program. The program has been developed with the assistance of the BCPS Career, Technical, Adult, and Community Education Department and the Culinary Program at Boyd Anderson High School. Through this program, students get an opportunity to learn about proper food safety, handling, preparation, and cooking. Additionally, the school launched its community garden that was incorporated into the culinary program.
