Sanders Memorial Elementary School recently launched its annual Sunshine State Young Readers Award (SSYRA) Challenge through the Beanstack digital reading platform. Students in grades K–5 are encouraged to read and review fifteen selected books to qualify for an end-of-year literacy celebration. Teachers evaluate student reflections to ensure meaningful engagement with each title. The program promotes reading comprehension, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of literacy while helping strengthen academic skills and encouraging a strong reading culture throughout the school community.
