Being Updated
In Fall 2025, Valleyview Elementary launched its “Voyagers STEAM Nights” program, monthly evenings where students and parents work together on hands-on science and math challenges, strengthening home-school connections.
1. What enrichment programs are offered at Valleyview?
A. The school offers gifted student clusters, robotics and coding clubs, as well as a flexible “Explorer Time” each week for cross-grade projects in STEAM and leadership.
2. How does the school support students who are below grade level?
A. Valleyview uses early-year diagnostics followed by targeted small-group instruction and progress tracking; parents can ask for the intervention schedule and reassessment plans.
3. How involved can parents be in school activities?
A. The school has a very active Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), monthly “Family Learning Nights,” and encourages parents to participate in classroom volunteering and project-based learning sessions.
4. What should families relocating into the Valleyview zone consider?
A. Rentals for three-bedroom homes in the area currently hover around US $1,800 – 2,500/month; families should review commute times, property condition, and budget for possible enrichment if they want to maintain high academic outcomes.
5. What is the school culture and community like?
A. With a lower percentage of free/reduced lunch eligibility (~39%) and strong proficiency data, the campus reflected a stable academic environment where many students receive peer support and structured enrichment, families should visit to see how the community and culture feel in person.
