The Monroe County Detention Center's educational program is doing well because the district has a "A" rating. This shows that everyone is dedicated to high teaching standards, even in unusual settings. The program is now using data from recent progress monitoring to tailor lessons to each student. This keeps everyone on track to graduate and do well in college. The district has also recently made its "Early College Program" agreement better. This makes it easier for students in other places to get college credits through partnerships with the College of the Florida Keys for the 2025–2026 school year.
