New developments coming out of Duval County Public Schools indicate that the district’s plans for the future involve Woodland Acres Elementary School within its wider elementary boundary planning. The district is currently looking at ways to accommodate students in schools with more efficient facilities. Currently, there are no finalized plans that will affect the attendance zone at Woodland Acres Elementary.
Q1. What programs are available for gifted children at Woodland Acres Elementary School?
Ans. Enrichment and gifted education programs are provided via district programs, in addition to classroom differentiation.
Q2. Are there any after-school programs or after-school care at Woodland Acres Elementary School?
Ans. Yes, most students can avail of such after-school care and extension programs as may be available in the district or through partners.
Q3. What kind of help do struggling students get?
Ans. Interventions are provided to such struggling students, including special reading and math programs, as well as other forms of academic intervention, using Title I.
Q4. Is parent/family participation encouraged in school activities?
Ans. Parent/family involvement in school activities is encouraged through various means, including parent meetings with teachers, etc.
Q5. Which middle school feeds off Woodland Acres Elementary School?
Ans. Most students tend to be assigned to middle schools in Duval County.
