Pickett Elementary School is one of the current projects of Duval County Public Schools' major redevelopment project, which involves replacing and renovating the entire campus as part of its consolidation plan. The new campus is planned to combine various elementary schools in one advanced institution. According to recent announcements from the district, planning and construction bidding processes are actively being carried out in 2026.
Q1. What extracurricular programs are offered by the school?
Ans. Enrichment programs that include club activities and academic help are offered based on staffing and budget.
Q2. Do the school students travel in buses from school?
Ans. Yes, bus services for transportation are provided for eligible students who come from a designated area in the District.
Q3. Is there any arrangement for serving meals to students?
Ans. Yes, as the school is enrolled in the NSLP program, breakfast and lunch meals are served to students.
Q4. What facilities does the school offer to assist the students?
Ans. Some of the student services offered by the school are reading interventions, special education facilities, and counseling.
Q5. What means does the school provide for parent involvement?
Ans. Parental involvement is encouraged through school events, participation in PTA organizations, and communications between parents and teachers.
