The most recent event that has taken place at Kings Trail Elementary School is in relation to property decisions made at the district level with respect to the school site. Specifically, the Duval County School Board approved the sale of the old school site that had been closed in March 2026. This represents a major shift in the status of the site, which has been used by the school district for many years, within the San Jose region of Jacksonville. Plans are currently being made to develop the property into residential real estate.
Q1. What are some of the enrichment programs offered to children at Kings Trail Elementary School?
Ans. Generally, the school provides enrichment programs through arts and crafts, music classes, physical education, and academic classes for helping develop basic skills.
Q2. Are there any before or after-school childcare programs offered to students?
Ans. Generally, many students are able to benefit from before and after-school programs provided by the school district for supervised recreation and homework assistance.
Q3. In what ways are special learning needs addressed in the school?
Ans. Special needs learning accommodations generally consist of resource support, interventions, and strategies for teaching individualized instruction to all students.

Ans. Transportation is provided for eligible students using school buses under the district zoning guidelines.

Ans. Some examples of parent participation include events organized at school and volunteering by parents.
