One of the most notable events at Jacksonville Heights Elementary School has been the emphasis placed on the importance of enrichment and interaction with children via district-sponsored initiatives and programs alongside community-based programs. This includes an ongoing participation in the various Duval County projects where there is emphasis on interactive classes ranging from arts, robotics, and even reading. Additionally, elementary schools such as Jacksonville Heights have been recognized for their active participation in reading and character-building sessions through the use of local organizations during the early part of 2026.
