The Duval Charter School at Coastal in Jacksonville just announced that applications for the 2026-2027 academic year are open for new applicants from kindergarten to eighth grade in an effort to continue growing their school. Their new update on their “Coastal Connection” series sent out to their families focused on the emphasis on academics, enrichment activities, and parent engagement at the school. They are also offering additional chances for extracurricular activity and community engagement as well to help students become involved in the school.
Q1. What kind of a school is Duval Charter School at Coastal?
Ans. It is a free charter school run by the Duval County Public Schools.
Q2. Does the school provide any before or after-school care facility?
Ans. Yes, usually, schools provide extended care facilities to help working parents with before and after-school care programs.
Q3. Are there any enrichment programs provided to the children?
Ans. The children get various enrichment activities like arts, physical activity, and club activities based on their grade.
Q4. Does the school provide any transportation service to the children?
Ans. Generally, bus service is available to those children who qualify under zone criteria fixed by the district.
Q5. How does the school help the students in their studies?
Ans. Schools provide students assistance programs and differentiated instructions to help struggling students.
